When changing your suspension from standard rubber insulated top hats to aftermarket bearing top hats, the strut tower becomes subjected to more vibration and shock from driving. Over time this can lead to deformation of the sheet metal at the shock mounting area or even cracking and separation of the seams around the strut tower. These billet reinforcement plates strengthen the sheet metal of the shock tower to prevent deformation and potential cracking and separation. They are machined from 6061 aluminum and are 9mm / .350” thick. These are a great upgrade for anyone with adjustable or bearing upper mounts and even restoration projects that want to reduce the wear on the chassis at the strut tower.
Note: Not compatible with aftermarket strut tower braces.
