NOTE: This is NOT for the AE86 or other short chassis cars. It is designed for cars that need the shifter in the same position as the original shifter on the beams J160 transmission. We have not test fit this on an Altezza, we are unsure if it would work without modification.
Our J160 reverse lockout shifter is now available in a kit that mounts our shifter in the original beams altezza shifter position. This is a direct bolt on to your transmission with no modification. We have created a mounting bracket that provides mounting of the shifter in the OEM altezza rearward or forward position. Currently only available for early model beams j160 transmissions with the aluminum shifter stalk. Does not work with G series J160, only Beams 3SGE. Here’s what’s included:
1. Complete reverse lockout shifter assembly
2. replaceable stainless steel lockout stop
3. Stainless steel shifting rod
4. machined aluminum mounting bracket
5. All needed hardware included
6. torx tool for servicing the internals of the shifter
7. rubber sealed stainless steel bearings for precise and durable operation.
8. new Delrin lower shifter bushing included
